302 Google Jacking

302 Google Jacking - A
Black Hat SEO
technique for falsely showing a high
Google PageRankTM
by redirecting from a lower ranking page to a higher ranking one using a meta-refresh or server-side
(302) command. The point is that since the 302 redirect is supposed to be
temporary and not permanent, a search engine (Google)
seeing a 302 redirect will give the redirecting page the higher PageRank of
the target. So you could set up a new domain called Joeblow.com that
redirects to yahoo.com, and Joeblow.com would get the pagerank of yahoo.com
instantly, without all the boring drudgework of building a Web site.
Sorry
Black Hat SEO pirates,
the search engines caught on, so 302 redirects don't get you high pagerank
any more supposedly.

Optimization terms are based on inferences from common usage and definitions given by other sources. Conclusions about
search engine behavior are based on understanding of the behavior of the most popular search engines. Both are subject
to error or may change. Search engine company management may define or use a term or set or change any policy in any way
they see fit, and may make these definitions and specifications public or not. These decisions and definitions are
