Claim: Google imposes penalties of 30 & 950 position place drops.

Status: Possible

Site owners claim that suddenly all listings for their site or many of them, sometimes even a search for the domain name, returned the site in position #31 or position #950 or 951 precisely, because Google had penalized the site. This is possible. There are too many such claims to ignore it entirely, though I have never seen it happen. Keep your nose clean. It is hard to get Google to change its mind once it has penalized you.
